Summer is upon us and this year, we’ve something a little different….we’ve had some holidays!!! Yes yes, we’ve done a little playing but a lot of enjoying of the sun. But never fear, we’re writing our new songs at the moment and believe you me, it’ll be damn interesting. Keep posted for gigs, and updates to what’s happening with Che Fu & the Krates.

We’ll also take this chance to say a big and sad farewell to Paullie Russell who has vacated the drummers seat, and will be concentrating full time on his band, Eight. It’s been an amazing last few years with one of the most talented, and definitely the most funky drummer holding the time. But we say "see ya soon bro, good luck" to our brother, and trust that he’ll keep up the positive vibe no matter what he’s doing. Arohanui brother. We all love ya!!!!

To celebrate the phenominal success of Che & the Krates album "Navigator", Sony Music proudly presents a strictly limited edition "collectors version" of the album. It comes in a stunning slipcase and features a 6 track bonus disc with the following songs;

Che Cleans Up @ NZ Music Awards (14 May 02)
Congratulations go out to Che-Fu and the Krates for their six awards at the 2002 NZ Music Awards held in Auckland on Friday 10 May. Che won the award for Album of the Year for "Navigator", single of the year for "Fade Away", video of the year, also for "Fade Away", best male vocalist and the first Hip-Hop/R&B award. He also grabbed the TV2 "People's Choice" award, decided by public vote.
